An Emmy nomination and New York

Amazingly, and through a process that I won’t begin to understand, the first series of SKY’s Urban Myths has been nominated for an International Emmy. Waiting For Andre, my Playhouse about Samuel Beckett was one of the submitted episodes and so I find myself in the unlikely situation of being an Emmy nominee (of sorts). It’s exciting for many reasons, not least because the ceremony is in New York and eight years ago I attended the Summer Screenwriting Program at the New York Film Academy. The course, taught by Seth Donsky, was life-changing and set me on the road to script-writing and the shows I have been fortunate enough to make since, and those hopefully still to come. Here I am on the NYFA website with a list of credits that would have seemed preposterous to me back in the summer of 2010.
